I was listening to a podcast the other day, when I heard the person being interviewed say, “it’s been well documented that eating a high protein diet contributes to osteoporosis.” I almost fell out of my chair because I had never heard that before; but you know it makes perfect sense. It’s also been reported that although Americans consume the highest levels of vitamin D, they also have among the highest levels of osteoporosis in the world.
Want to improve your bone health? Stop eating a diet that’s high in animal protein. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Limit your consumption of soft drinks. Incorporate some strength training into your exercise routine.
